| Careful not to use the word Exclusive, Optus will be FIRST TO MARKET in Australia with the new Blackberry Pearl 8220 Flip Phone. Late this month, the Flip form factor device will debut in Australia, and, dare I say it, i think RIM (Research In Motion) are on a winner. This is NOT a traditional Blackberry users Blackberry. This is a stylish Flip phone with all the features of a Blackberry. I played with the phone for the first time today, and let me say - Impressive. On the inside, its a Bold without 3G as far as the Operating System goes. For the Interface, its a Pearl on steroids - bigger keys, better trackball, all round better experience. Then, on the outside, when shut, it finds its own. The External display shows a clock, and, if you choose when you have new emails or text messages it will show them in preview form, always listing how many new messages you have. Click through them without opening the flip, when you do open, it goes straight to the relevant Inbox.
