| 27 Nov 2007 - Installation of new software |

| So, here's an interesting difference. When you install new software, it creates a new disk partition from which to install it onto your Hard Drive. Once installed, you then need to COPY that application INTO the "Applications" Folder on the "Macintosh HD". Once that's done - you can eject the "temporary partition". Strange stuff. Not sure why it doesn't copy the application to the application directory and eject that partition as part of the installation program. Anyway, now i've worked that out, I'm good to go! |

When you download a program ( i.e. Firefox ) you will down load a dmg file ( which you can use Disk Utility to burn to a cd ) that is self contained. Wade Kemp, Ohio, USA add your comment: |
