03 Jul 2009 - All-in-one PC from Viewsonic?
Viewsonic is a name we pretty much associate with Monitors. So why now are they moving into the PC market?

I'd guess it's simple - the means to produce low cost "PC's" is readily available with the mass production of 'netbooks' making all the components for low cost, yet usable performance computers easy to get, and because they are netbook based, it means they are smaller too!

30 Jun 2009 - Blackberry Twitter App Comparison

Some months ago, I started getting a little more 'into' this whole Twitter thing... as it turns out - it's a bit of fun!  And, it may well have a use as a communications and media tool for some time to come!


My wife has an iPhone (my reject:)), and I persist with my trusty Blackberry.  The iPhone is an application machine - Sorry, for those not following - that's an 'app' in today's lingo.  The twitter apps for iPhone are amazing, and there are MANY.

17 Jun 2009 - iPhone 3.0 software download date
If you're in Australia, and trying to upgrade your iPhone to 3.0 - it won't.

Till tomorrow.

June 17 is the US date, and while it IS June 17 in the USA, seems Australia has to wait another 5 hours!

Doesn't seem like much I know, but please - come on... its the 17th in the US, isn't that enough?

Wonder if it will be available AT midnight... or later in the day... Shall wait and see..

Blackberry today officially announced the BLACKBERRY TOUR - not some sort of long trip across the country, its a new device.

No word yet on a release date for Australia - but expect something on that in the next 3 months for sure.

The Tour is the first of a couple of phones due out this year, and it's tantilisingly close to being THE one..

15 Jun 2009 - A Few Reasons Blackberry is ready for Apple and Pre
Hype worldwide is around the new Apple iPhone 3G S - and the Palm Pre - both magnificent devices.

But not a lot of hype has ever REALLY spun around Blackberry - its been constant growth, in a core sector - corporate, with mass adoption outside that still yet to take.

So why then is RIM not worried? The plans... they have plans.
